The Business Model Canvas (BMC) template provides the structure for a business plan without the overhead information. You can use the BMC as a pure simulation model. similar to a quick sketch on a napkin.

You have to identify the business value you can provide. Clarify needed partners and resources and recognise costs and revenues. It may sound dry, but it is a fun and worthwhile exercise. Once done, it will give you an edge in meetings with investors and others interested.

INNOVASTART VERSION OF BMC
Headlines CHALLENGES and SOLUTION
Our Business Plan template begins with headlines CHALLENGES and SOLUTION. It relates to BMC step 2. The original header "Value Proposition" is in our version divided into two headlines to better clarify the background to your business idea.

Headlines Customer Segments
The headline Customer Segments is related to BMC step 1, "Customer Segments". You ask who the customers are. So, defining the customer segment by identifying specific geographical regions, social characteristics, and demographic indicators is essential. Further, discuss any growing market opportunity. We have marked it as a market segment as it is logical to include it in the customer segment.

BMC headlines 3 to 9 match the Business Plan
